Marco Daperno

Dr. Marco Daperno is a Gastroenterologist graduated in Italy, at Turin University, with fellowships in Belgium at Leuven Catholic University and in UK at Oxford University.

He was interested for the past 25 years in IBD clinical management and in clinical and translational research. Focus of interest are endoscopy in IBD, IBD treatment and eHealth strategies for IBD.

He is fellow of the ECCO (European Crohn’s and Colitis Organization) and of IGIBD (Italian Group for Inflammatory Bowel Disease) from their constitution, and he was involved in guideline drafting of both societies, and he was former member of the Governing Board and General Secretary of IGIBD until December 2021.

He is Consultant in an Italian Academic Hospital (Mauriziano Hospital) in Turin, Italy, in a Gastroenterology Unit where he contributes to clinical activities in IBD Center, in Clinical Trials Unit, and practicing general and advanced endoscopy and diagnostic and operative endoscopic ultrasound. He published 106 papers indexed on international journals, with an H index of 39 and an i10 index of 69 (according to Google Scholar)
